Five modules. Take what you need.
Each module addresses a distinct knowledge area that new Croatian entrepreneurs encounter in their first year. Standalone by design.
Business Finance Fundamentals
Revenue, expenses, profit, and loss explained through examples directly from Croatian obrt and j.d.o.o. practice. You learn to distinguish between gross and net figures, understand what paušalni porez means, and read a basic income summary without needing an accountant to translate it for you.
Cash Flow Awareness
Many new business owners are surprised to find their business is profitable on paper but struggling in practice. This module explains why. You build a simple monthly cash flow view and learn to identify the periods when outgoing payments cluster, so you can plan accordingly.
Reading Financial Statements
Your accountant sends you documents. Do you read them? This module walks through the structure of a balance sheet and income statement using real Croatian small business examples. You learn what each section means and what questions to ask when something doesn't look right.
Administrative Organisation
Receipts in a shoebox, invoices in email, contracts somewhere on a hard drive. This module helps you build a simple, sustainable system for all the paperwork a Croatian business generates. Digital and physical approaches covered, with attention to Croatian legal document retention requirements.
Communicating with Your Accountant
The relationship between a new entrepreneur and their accountant is often awkward. You don't understand the questions they ask. They don't have time to explain everything from scratch. This module bridges that gap. You learn the terminology, the monthly cycle, the deadlines, and how to ask the questions you've been afraid to ask. The result is a working relationship that actually functions well for both sides.
